POLICE DESTROY DRUGS
BASSETERRE, St.Kitts, (August 13th 2008)-On Saturday 9th August 2008, officers of the District ‘B’ Crime Response Unit destroyed approximately 500 marijuana plants at a site in Conaree. These plants were seized by the unit in the canefields in the district over the last month. No one was arrested in relation to these seizures, therefore the plants were destroyed by fire. The Unit will continue its eradication program in the canefields in the district while maintaining its presence in the communities as part of the Force’s strategy to prevent and combat crime.
