POLICE IN NEVIS INVESTIGATE WOUNDING INCIDENTS
BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, (August 3rd 2008)- The Police in Nevis are investigating two wounding incidents which occurred on August 2nd 2008, at the Cultural Village. The first occurred at about 4:45 am inside the Cultural Village in the area known as the ‘Bull Pen’. Investigations reveal that Ibal Tyson of Low Street was stabbed in the abdomen with a sharp instrument, while he was in the crowd. He was taken to the Alexandra Hospital where he was treated and detained for observation. The other incident occurred at about 4:50 am just outside the Cultural Village. Investigations reveal that Faish James of Bath Village was struck in the forehead by an object that was thrown in the crowd. The object caused a wound on James’ forehead, he was taken to the Alexandra Hospital where he was also treated and detained for observation. None of the injuries were life threatening. No one has been arrested in relation to these incidents, but investigations are ongoing.
